About the Artist

The artwork shown at the top of our website was created by Louisville's own renowned artist Julius Friedman. The original piece, called "Cheryl's Pallet," is a 20" x 30" photo printed on metal. Work by Julius Friedman is included in the permanent collections of the Museum of Modern Art in New York; the National Gallery of Art in Washington, DC; Dansk Plakatmuseum in Aarhus, Denmark; the Brown-Forman Corporation; The Marriott Hotel Corporation; and the National Museum of Poster Art in Warsaw, Poland.

Public Works, a book of his posters, has been published by Hawley-Cooke. Friedman has lectured extensively on design, including a series at the Smithsonian in Washington, D.C. You may visit the Chapman-Friedman Gallery at ChapmanFriedmanGallery.com.
